It finally happened. We were down to our last few healing surges after two major encounters. Instead of finding somewhere relatively safe to rest, we continued exploring the Duergar fortress…
Our current campaign has come to a dramatic conclusion, within a Duergar outpost. We over-stretched our party, Caelynna was over-zealous in scouting the outpost and the party wasn't quite able to hold itself. We should have rested after the encounter; an ogre had smashed us with chairs, tables and benches and we were all low on healing surges.
We were very lucky; our Duergar friends had an incredibly bad run of natural 1's. However, whilst most of us succumbed to our injuries, the Duergar offered a surrender to the last man standing…
…and that's where we left things. 4th Edition was officially shelved on 31st December 2019, therefore we are planning upon porting our game to 5th Edition. So far, I have located the Eladrin race in Unearthed Arcana. The race looks like it plays differently (seasons rules are not present in 4e), so I am evaluating it vs other races available in the new meta. We start again though next week, so I had better hurry it up.
